Peter Coopersmith, MD, MA
Dr Coopersmith has been doing Concierge Primary Care for over 18 years at our current location, and practicing medicine in San Francisco since 2000. He is dedicated to providing the best care to his patients through thoughtful collaboration of their concerns and medical issues. He has been recognized as one of the leading concierge physicians in the Bay Area and maintains close relationships with specialists and consultants throughout the region.
Dr Coopersmith earned his medical degree from University of California at Davis where he earned several awards in research and patient care. Residency training was completed at California Pacific Medical Center where he was awarded the Resident of the Year and the French Foundation Residents award. His introduction to medicine occurred after college at UCSF working for the brain tumor research center in a staff associate position. Working directly with the research Neurosurgeons showed the passion and joy of practicing medicine, he changed career trajectory becoming pre med and never looked back.
Dr Coopersmith is a native San Franciscan and enjoys spending free time with his family and pets. He continues to play music with friends for over 40 years.
Tom Ronay, MD
Dr. Tom Ronay is a board-certified Family Physician with expertise in longevity medicine, preventive health, and chronic disease management. He earned his medical degree from the University of Minnesota, where he completed the Rural Physician Associate Program (RPAP) at a Mayo Community Hospital.
Following medical school, Dr. Ronay completed his Family Medicine residency at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center in Fort Hood, Texas, and received specialized training in Flight Medicine. He then served as the medical director of clinics in the Sinai Peninsula, Egypt, providing care in a unique and challenging environment. Later, he became the medical director at the Presidio of Monterey in California, focusing on the healthcare needs of retired service members.
For the past eleven years, Dr. Ronay has practiced in San Francisco, where he emphasizes prevention, lifestyle optimization, and comprehensive care. His passion lies in helping patients achieve their best health and longevity, empowering them to live life to the fullest.
Leah Tessler, MD
Dr Tessler has been a primary care doctor in San Francisco since 1995. Her particular interests include preventative care and women’s health. After taking a break from practice in 2023, she has now joined Golden Gate Concierge Medicine.
Throughout her career, the constant has always been the long term relationships forged with patients, aiming for excellence in clinical quality in conjunction with a focus on communication, so that patients feel heard. Placing the patient at the center of medical decision making is her north star.
Dr Tessler received a bachelor of science from UCLA followed by medical school at McGill University in Montreal Canada, the city she was born. Moving to San Francisco in 1992, she completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at UCSF- Mt. Zion Hospital. Board certified in Internal Medicine continuously since 1995
For the next phase of her career she is looking forward to using her expertise to focus on high quality medical care with a personalized approach in an unrushed environment. “Being a doctor has always been a large part of who I am, and I will bring that same quality of caring and concern, as well as a desire to forge strong patient doctor bonds to my new practice”
Dr Tessler lives in the city with her husband and has two adult sons. In her free time she enjoys watercolor painting, cooking, exercise, snorkeling, skiing and traveling.
Christina Pedro
Chris has been working in Internal medicine for over 20 years. She takes pride in helping every patient with her expertise in navigating the onerous world of healthcare. Chris has formed strong relationships over the years with many individuals and companies that provide services for all aspects of healthcare. This allows her to get tests, authorizations and referrals done sooner than expected and done right the first time.
Chris is a native San Franciscan and lives here with her two children.
Kayla Shrawder
Kayla has been with our office for 3 years and helps in all aspects of patient’s administrative care. She is the friendly voice that takes the calls, makes appointments, does insurance authorizations and manages the medical records. She is always ready to help in every step of the way.
